What You Need To Know

The Center for Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine is an outpatient facility that offers medical treatment for chronic non-healing wounds.

The Center for Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine is staffed by a highly specialized team of healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, hyperbaric technicians and board-certified physicians and podiatrists.

Our staff remains in close communication with the patient's primary healthcare provider during the treatment period and refers the patient back to the provider when healing is completed.

The progress of the patient's wound healing is tracked through measurements and photos.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy promotes wound healing by increasing the amount of oxygen dissolved in the blood and tissues, which in turn promotes new blood vessel growth.

Hyperbaric oxygen is administered in a pressurized chamber where a patient remains for a prescribed period of time, usually ninety minutes per treatment session.

The chamber is made of acrylic, allowing for unobstructed views both into and out of the chamber. Patients may watch TV or a movie during their treatment or they may sleep.

The hyperbaric chamber is monitored at all times by our clinical team, who are under the direct medical supervision of physicians specially trained in hyperbaric medicine.

Patients have access to free valet parking in the Center's outpatient parking lot.

Door-to-door transportation for patients receiving hyperbaric treatments is available when required.

A majority of insurance plans are accepted.
