David J. Miller, DDS, FACD, FICD
Dr. David J. Miller received his undergraduate degree (BS) from St. John’s University with a major in biology and a minor in Philosophy. He received his dental degree (DDS) from Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He did a General Practice residency Program at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Prior to coming to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Dr. Miller was the Director, General Practice Residency Programs (12 & 24 month) and the Assistant Director Department of Dental Medicine at Catholic Medical Centers of Brooklyn & Queens from 1985 – 2009.
Dr. Miller has been involved in organized dentistry at the local, state and national levels for more than 25 years. At the national level, the American Dental Association, he served on: the Council on Access, Prevention and Interprofessional Relations (CAPIR); Delegate to the House of Delegates; as a Postdoctoral General Dentistry site evaluator for the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). At the state level, the New York State Dental Association, he will be the Vice –President (June 2013), President –Elect (June 2014), and President (June 2015). He served on: the Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, Chair of the Council on Dental Health Planning & Hospital Dentistry, PGY 1 TaskForce, Special Needs Dentistry, Strategic Planning, Bioterrorism & Emergency Preparedness. At the local level, the Nassau County Dental Society, he has served: President, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Give Kids A Smile, and Chairman of the Greater Long Island Dental Meeting.
