PRENATAL CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (PCAP)
PCAP provides comprehensive prenatal care services to low income women, by paying for health care related to pregnancy, childbirth, and the post partum period. We strive to promote successful pregnancies and the subsequent health of both infants and mothers.
Programs and Services include free pregnancy tests, comprehensive prenatal care, including high-risk care, delivery and post partum services, and WIC.
Requirements:
To qualify for PCAP you must meet income guidelines set by the federal government. The PCAP program is open to US citizens and most non-citizens. A woman who is employed may qualify for PCAP if she is uninsured or under-insured and her income meets the criteria.
Before you can receive coverage, you will have to provide certain documents and evidence of eligibility. The PCAP counselor will inform you of these requirements and how to satisfy them.

WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN'S PROGRAM (WIC)
What is WIC?
The special supplemental food program for Women, Infants, and Children, more commonly known as WIC, provides specific foods and nutritional education. We promote, improve and maintain the health and nutritional status of at-risk women, infants and young children through professional advice and compliance with high-risk protocols. We also aim to increase the percentage of newborns breastfed at hospital discharge, and to prevent childhood obesity.
What can WIC do for you?
WIC can save you money on your food budget. WIC provides food checks every month for qualified recipients. Women and children receive food worth an average of $40 a month. Foods for formula-fed babies are worth up to $90 a month. WIC can show you how to be healthier and eat more healthy foods. Application to the program is reserved for pregnant women, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding mothers of babies up to 6 months old, and children under 5 years old.
