Vision is often taken for granted; when we drive to work or watch television, we don't even consider the importance of our eyesight. However, if our vision is lost or impaired, the impact on our ability to function can be severe. The Division of Ophthalmology at Wyckoff is dedicated to providing patients with state-of-the-art eye care.

Medical Director Harry Koster, M.D. is a Harvard trained eye surgeon, an assistant clinic professor at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Chief of Cataract and LASIK Surgery at the SUNY College of Optometry, and he, like all of our doctors, is dedicated to providing the most advanced, comprehensive and effective eye care to optimize your visual function.  We use the latest developments and diagnostic procedures to prevent, detect and treat eye disorders - with compassion and sensitivity to patient's needs. We do not take sight for granted.

In addition to routine eye care, the department's doctors provide advanced, comprehensive care for a wide array of visual problems. Utilizing the latest technology, we treat the following conditions:

  • cataracts
  • glaucoma
  • diabetic retinopathy
  • corneal diseases
  • dry eye disorders
  • macular degeneration

Eye glass prescriptions are also available.

Patients can be seen at the Wyckoff clinic (Room 216), at Dr. Koster's private office in the hospital (Room 216) or in one of Dr. Koster's other offices in Queens or Manhattan.
