Medical Director Harry Koster, M.D. is a Harvard trained eye surgeon, an assistant clinic professor at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Chief of Cataract and LASIK Surgery at the SUNY College of Optometry, and he, like all of our doctors, is dedicated to providing the most advanced, comprehensive and effective eye care to optimize your visual function. We use the latest developments and diagnostic procedures to prevent, detect and treat eye disorders - with compassion and sensitivity to patient's needs. We do not take sight for granted.

Harry Koster, MD, our medical director and chief surgeon, is a Harvard-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist. He completed his ophthalmic residency training at New York Eye & Ear, the nation's oldest eye center, followed by a corneal and refractive surgery (LASIK) fellowship at Harvard Medical School where he continued to investigate advanced surgical therapies for refractive errors. He is one of New York’s most accomplished surgeons, specializing in cataracts corneal and refractive surgeries.

Harry Boparai, OD. Dr. Boparai provides general vision care, with a subspecialty interest in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. After completing his clinical training, he obtained a masters degree in Vision Science and was instrumental in a landmark discovery on the peripheral visual field changes of glaucoma that may be the first clinical signs of this disease. We proudly offer glaucoma treatment and consultation along with state-of-the-art equipment in a comfortable caring environment.
Dr. Nikki Cotler-Camp is a licensed optometrist who provides primary eye care with special interests in ocular disease and pediatric care. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 2002 and then received her Doctorate of Optometry from the SUNY College of Optometry in 2006. Dr. Cotler subsequently completed a residency in ocular disease management at the Brooklyn and St. Albans VA Hospitals, specializing in glaucoma management. Dr. Cotler currently resides in the Lower East Side of Manhattan
Dr. Michael Ferri is a licensed and residency trained optometrist, practicing comprehensive eye care. He received his Bachelors degree in Neurobiology and Physiology at The University of Maryland, College Park in 2005 and completed his Doctorate of Optometry at the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2009. Additionally, he completed a residency within the Veterans’ Affairs Hospital System of New York Harbor in primary care and ocular disease, with focus in glaucoma management, diabetic disease management and neurologic disease processes. Dr. Ferri is a member of the American Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry. He currently resides in Queens, New York with his wife Dr. Jennifer Ferri.
Dr. Yelena Smart is a licensed and residency-trained optometrist who provides comprehensive eye care with special interest in the areas of glaucoma diagnosis and treatment and management of the ocular manifestations of system disease such as diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Smart graduated Summa Cum Laude from CUNY Brooklyn College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, a national honor society. She then received her Doctor of Optomentry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry. She completed her residency training at the Departmen of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System, where she received advanced clinical instruction in the areas of ocular disease and primary eye care optometry. Dr. Smart speaks Russian fluently and has working knowledge of Spanish. She currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband.
Dr. Alex LaCorte is a licensed and residency-trained optometrist providing comprehensive eye care at NY Vision Group. He received his Bachelors degree in Biochemical Pharmacology from the University of Buffalo in 2007 and then completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University in 2011. He then completed a residency at the Veteran's Affairs Hospital System of New York Harbor in primary care and ocular disease, which focused heavily in glaucoma management. Dr. LaCorte is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometric Association. He currently resides in Manhattan.
