The primary objective of the Medical Staff Society is to meet with the Medical Staff to discuss on-going improvement in the care and treatment of patients in the Medical Center and to educate the Medical Staff regarding the Hospital’s Performance Improvement Program that includes all aspects of the professional services provided at the Hospital.
All active Medical Staff members are encouraged to attend at least two of the four quarterly meetings held per year and actively participate. The meetings are also a forum for expression of shared concerns and new ideas to improve and enhance the Hospital’s services. A notice of meetings of the Medical Staff Society stating the place, date and time of the meeting shall be delivered either by mail, email, or both to each member of the active staff, not less than seven days, nor more than thirty days prior to the date of the meeting, by or at the direction of the President of the Medical Staff Society. Members of the Consulting and Emeritus Staffs and Teaching Faculty are also encouraged to attend and actively participate.
Pursuant to the Medical Staff Society’s Bylaws, Attending Medical Staff members must fulfill the obligation of payment of dues as agreed by the Medical Staff Society.
The dues are $250 for two years and are collected upon the time of appointment and re-appointment. Attending Medical Staff members will be notified of outstanding dues by the Office of the Medical Staff Society. These dues are utilized to enhance Hospital programs and support Hospital activities.
